Scott Murray
Launch Coordinator / Driver
Born/Raised:
Wilmington, Delaware
Pronouns:
He/Him/His
Favorite Trip:
Kayaking on Lake Mead, and exploring the Boulder Islands.
One of three children, Scott grew up in Middletown, Delaware. He describes his childhood as a typical one in small town America during the 1960's.
Some of Scott's earliest memories in the outdoors are of him fishing for trout with his father. He is inspired by his parents, who were devoted to raising children who were equipped to be functioning adults.
Something most people don't know about Scott is that he started riding a unicycle at the ripe old age of nine. He is proud to say that at sixty one years of age he is still riding strong.
Scott was the corporate manager for a Fortune 500 company in his previous life. He found Desert Adventures when he retired and now he helps paddlers get on the water.
His perfect day off would consist of riding ATVs in the desert followed by a good BBQ at home. Mmmmm. Someday he would like to visit Canada, and experience the country by rail on a coast-to-coast train ride.
